During the giveaways, the executive director of COHH, Robert Cummings, ensured that each of the children got gifts and shared the surplus with children in the community. In addition, the children received sags of purified water as part of COHH’s clean water community initiative. Cummings said that COHH was grateful to TGER for the gifts and added that the shipment did so much to lift the spirit of the children.
Unfortunately, as the children prepare to return to school this year, meeting school-related expenses such as uniforms and textbooks is more dire, especially in a country where the median income is very low. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has created additional challenges to the care and support of the children on a daily basis. COHH is happy that TGER has elected to help support the needs of these children in Liberia.
